RODRIGO MARIZ

Rodrigo is an extraordinarily passionate individual when it comes to tennis. The co-founder of Elite America Tennis, with nearly two decades of experience on the court and over five years of coaching, he has achieved an extensive list of accomplishments. Rodrigo was ranked #5 nationally in Brazil U16's and a national champion on his path to becoming a professional player. However, he made the decision to pursue higher education and played college tennis at Illinois State University, where he achieved #2 singles and #1 doubles rankings. Following graduation, Rodrigo joined Wilson Sporting Goods, where he currently works on designing and developing rackets and other tennis products. Meanwhile, he continues to excel as a hitting partner in various prestigious tennis tournaments, including Indian Wells, Miami Open, US Open, and many more. Rodrigo has coached in several notable country clubs in the northeast, including Mamaroneck Beach & Yacht Club and Field Club of Greenwich. He later developed state-ranked junior players on the West Coast, embracing the modern approach to tennis. Rodrigo holds a Bachelor's degree from Illinois State, and has competed graduate courses at UCLA and Columbia University.
